Vintage Blouse - Pearly Shirt - Sleeveless Wool Blouse With Vintage Shell Button Folly - Bust 91-94 cm
Pearly! This was a cockney sub-culture fashion for a time, particularly during the 1940s and 1950s.
Black wool fabric was used to make this vintage blouse around the 1950s. Collar has elongated points. At some time, a Pearly member has sewn vintage and antique mother of pearl or cream colored buttons all over it, including four large antique mother of pearl shank buttons down the front. These front shell buttons are ornamental, the blouse closes with small black buttons underneath. It's not clear whether the buttons were originally part of the garment or whether they were added later. No tags, this is a homemade garment.
