1940s Beaded Satin Ballgown With Shaped Dropped Waist - Bust 89 cm
Beautiful but wounded rayon satin ballgown.
The gown has shoestring straps, ruching over the bust, a dropped and shaped waistline and beading with clear and silver beads on the bodice. Closes at the back with lots of covered buttons and loops. The skirt is very full, over a fixed petticoat. TNo tags, custom made - 1940s.
This item has some issues but is still such a beautiful gown to wear - priced accordingly.
Size - Medium
Bust 89 cm (35")
Waist 70 cm (27.5")
Hips 91 cm (36")
Length 147 cm (58")
Good - presents well, most of the faults are hidden by the folds of the skirt. There are several light marks on the satin including a large whitish mark on the back, depending on the light. It's difficult to get these to show in a photo, tricky with the shine on the satin. Also, a small dark mark near the hem, and one place near the hem where there are two frayed spots, holes. A few other very small holes.
