Antique, 1910s Lace Net Chemisette With Red Crystal Buttons
1910s antique Edwardian chemisette in lace trimmed cotton netting. The top front of this undergarment would have been visible, worn to preserve modesty underneath a low neckline. Unlike most chemisettes, it is joined at the side seams. A net overlay with a lacy border runs either side of the front opening. It close with micro hooks down the front, topped with tiny opaque glass buttons with faceted ruby centres. A tape drawstring around the bottom holds the garment in place just beneath the bust.
Wear as a camisole under a sheer or low necked garment, or as a cropped top.
