Antique black lightweight wool waistcoat has four jetted pockets and gussets in the front waistline. It's not clear whether the gussets are an original feature or an alteration to fit an expanding waistline. Closes with three celluloid buttons. The back and adjustable rear belt are silk. The collar is also faced with silk. The buckle is stamped "Prima". Lined with brown striped cotton at the back and silk at the front. 1910s-1920s.
Fits chest 91 cm (36")
Waist to 86 cm (34")
Lapel width 5.5 cm (2.25")
Length 54 cm (21.25")
Fair. Some small moth holes at the very bottom front, an old repair to a front pocket with odd colored thread, a hole at one buttonhole which is not visible when the garment is buttoned. Some discreet repairs to fraying at the underarms and back of the collar, not noticeable. The lining is very soiled.
