Beautiful filigree lace cropped camisole top, bralette or possibly a bandeau, fashionable in the 1920s for flattening the bust to achieve the popular boyish look.
It can be worn with the opening at the front or the back and is lined with a fine cotton mesh. The pointed edge of the lace forms the top edge and the straps are also of the same lace. Elastic at the lower edge. Closes with hooks and eyes. 1910s-early 1920s.
Bust 81-84 cm (32-33")
Underbust 81 cm (32") - I can adjust this shorter on request
Length 23 cm (9") not including the fancy edging
Strap 14.5 cm (5.75") measured flat doubled
Good. I have replaced the elastic, you can still see the yellowed ends of the old elastic near the ends, and you may need to draw the elastic up tighter to suit yourself. There is a 5 cm (2") mend in the lace in the centre of the front/back without the opening, and a 1.5 cm (.5") hole above that, see photo. Some mends to the lace edging. I have replaced the hooks and eyes at the opening.
