Lower-calf length, loose-fitting pullover slip dress.
The slip has a deep scalloped border with eyelet embroidery. It is gathered at the side over the hips. The armholes and scooped neckline are trimmed with fine cotton lace. The cotton fabric is a seersucker, although the bubble in the fabric is very slight. The fabric is very fine and is semi-sheer. You would probably want to wear a slip beneath this slip (!) if wearing it as a dress, or layer it. No labels, most likely a homemade garment. Late 1910s- early1920s.
