Blue Australian Uniform Jacket - 1970s - Chest 96 cm
Blue uniform jacket is a bit of a mystery which needs to be solved. It has two slit pockets with flaps and a flap at the breast with no pocket. Two interior breast pockets. Three button closure. Possibly an airline crew jacket? Silver Victoria Police buttons, but I don't believe this is a police jacket, based on my research and interviews with old policemen. It belonged to a local theatre group for a while and they may have added the buttons. Rear vent. One row of gold braid at the sleeves. Lined. No fabric tag, likely a polyester wool blend. Made by the Australian Government Clothing Factory, 1960s-1970s.
