Grey Wool Boucle Dress With Fancy Collar by McNeill's - 1950s - Bust 91 cm
Lower calf length grey wool boucle dress has a fancy double collar, the top collar being contrasting white with decorative black stitching. It has below elbow sleeves with shaped turn back cuffs. The bodice is pleated into the midriff section at the bust. Midriff has double closure with large black buttons and is held in place beneath with press studs. The long skirt is pleated into the waistband at the front and there is one large pleat in the front. There is a matching belt. Unlined. The tag states it is a "Reproduction of an American model by McNeill's, Sydney". Early 1950s.

Good. There are numerous darns but the nubby boucle fabric does a good job of disguising them and you would only notice most of them if you were shown. The largest darn in the front of the skirt is shown, the darn in the back is probably the most noticeable, see photo. Some poor machine repairs at the hem were done by a former owner, 2 like this.
