Vintage New Zealand Army Medic Uniform, Officers Kit - 1950s
New Zealand Army Medic officer's uniform has four pockets with button down flaps. The top bellows pockets also have press studs on the flap corners. Waisted jacket also has a small slit pocket like a watch pocket at the waist. One interior diagonal slit pocket inside the facing. One rear vent. The sleeves have a shaped wrist trim. Complete with Queen's Stars on the epaulettes and lapel badges which read "Royal NZ Army Medical Corps". Metal belt carriers.
The fabulous high waisted pants have a fishtail shaping at the back waist, front pleats, diagonal front pockets and one rear slit pocket. There is lining at the waist and a gusset at the inside crotch. Button fly. Buttons at the waist for braces.
Fabric is khaki wool. Made by Kelsam Clothes for Munn's of Christchurch - 1950s.

Wounded but still fabulous. There are four darns in the crotch and one at the lower leg. A small darn in one sleeve. Numerous other moth nibbles, a few tiny darns in the back and pockets are not noticeable. A small brown mark on the jacket front, a few mud splats on the lower legs. The belt is missing. Darn to the waist pocket.
