This interesting suit has a waistcoat and jacket made in the Victorian style of the 1870s but has 1980s style cuffed pants. The jacket has wide, curved, peaked and notched lapels, two front pockets with flaps, three button trim at the wrists, no rear vent and closes with two buttons.All the jacket and waistcoat buttons are fabric covered.
The waistcoat has a collar, rounded, peaked and notched lapels, two front slit pockets, closes with three buttons and has no rear strap adjustment. It has curved front seaming.
The pants have pleated front, diagonal side pockets, no rear pockets and are cuffed.
All pieces, including the full trouser legs, are lined in silk. The suit fabric is charcoal grey merino wool - tag says "Fine 120 Collection". There is no brand label, and it appears to have been custom made - 1980s.

Jacket and vest are in excellent condition. The button at the waist of the pants has been moved and this made a couple of small holes behind the front fastening. The button is scratched.
