Camisole
A camisole is a woman's lingerie garment covering the top of the body. It is sleeveless and usually has narrow straps. In modern times camisoles are also a style of outer garment in the style of the lingerie garment.
Camisoles most likely evolved from antique corset covers. As corsets waned in popularity and the Edwardian high waist went out of fashion, the garment became longer and the straps narrower.
