Black short sleeved coat for in between weather for a stylish alternative.
Mid-calf length black wool twill coat has square shoulders, elbow length sleeves and front turn back lapels. Front darts provide shaping. Double welts at the front hip give the appearance of pockets, but there are none. Welts are trimmed with plain suit braid. No front closure. Unlined. Label says it is a Vanstone Tailored Model. Late 1940s or very early 1950s.

Good. Some small holes below one front "pocket" which a previous owner has disguised with an iron on patch at the back. A 10 x 2 mm thin patch at the back of one shoulder, not quite a hole yet. Another 4 x 2 mm hole near the back hem.
