Three candles and holly leaves beautifully worked on this very fine cotton batiste hanky. If you look at the reverse side in the last photo, it's almost as neat as the front, a sign of superior needlework. The edges have been hem stitched and spoke stitched. 1950s or older.

Condition

Good. There is one pin prick sized hole and a rust coloured mark on the back edge, as shown.
