Fabulous glittery gold brocade Empire waist dress with typical of the 1960s period. The gown has an overskirt open at the front with another skirt beneath. Bow trim beneath the bust. The straight underskirt has side slits. The bodice and over skirt are lined. It is a custom made gown and there are no labels. I have replaced the original broken zip with a plastic zip.
The bust on the mannequin was not high enough to fit into the bust of the dress, (You may need a push up bra!)
Bust 82 cm (32")
Under bust 73 cm (28.5")
Natural waistline to 76 cm (30")
Hips 87 cm (34")
Shoulder to under bust 26 cm (10.25")
Sleeve 16 cm (6.25")
Length 140 cm (55")
Fair and wearable. There are two holes that I have patched and you need to look hard to find them, as shown. One of the underarm seams has been let out and the lining no longer fits there. The background of the fabric is worn at the hemline and in a few other places, but it blends in for the most part. Original zip replaced.
