Purple shirtdress with a military air - this is the dress my mother wore to my sister's wedding in 1987.
Lower-calf length dress has extended and dropped shoulders, dropped underarms, small collar and military type tab at one shoulder. The long, straight skirt is enhanced at the waist by a peplum pleated into one side seam. Buttons all the way down the back and to breast height at the front - there's a press stud beneath the plackett. Belted at the waist and elasticised at the back waist. Has shoulder pads. Skirt has rear vent. Fabric is slightly crinkle textured and is 65% polyester, 35% rayon. Made in Australia for Marc Dessauer - 1987.
