Beautiful white cotton antique nightgown reimagined as a Boho dress. Wear it flowing loose or add a belt.
White cotton dress or gown is knee length. It has elbow-length sleeves trimmed with an eyelet or broderie anglaise ruffle. The high V neck is trimmed with three kinds of broderie, including an eyelet strip for ribbon. Opens at the neck beneath a placket which extends to the waist. There are rows of pin tucks either side of the front opening, which closes with a snap fastener. There's a dropped shoulder effect and also a large tuck which adds fullness to the back. Homemade garment, I'm thinking 1920s due to the length, possibly a little earlier.

Condition
Good. A spot at one underarm and a number of similar spots on the back. Some small brown foxing marks to the back yoke, as shown.
