Absolutely stunning antique net blouse from the Belle Epoque pre-World War 1 period.
Ivory cotton mesh netting blouse has a large collar with a tie jabot at the front. The ties thread through a covered bone ring. The blouse is ornamented with inserted embroidered lace panels and pin tucks. The long sleeves have fancy cuffs and fasten at the wrist with press studs. Two tiny hooks and eyes fasten the upper front to just below the bust. The blouse flares out quit wide at the bottom, a great shape for an over blouse. Originally, this blouse would have been worn tucked into a very high waisted skirt so did not need more fastening at the front. I can add another hook or two on request, or wear it partly open as an over blouse. You'll probably want to wear a cami beneath as it's totally sheer. It's a beautifully handmade or custom made garment, no tags. Edwardian, circa 1905-1915.
