Antique, late Victorian or Edwardian nightgown with beautiful embroidered eyelet trim. The gown has a high V neckline and front yoke worked with panels of pin tucks, white embroidered trim and wide eyelet bands which would once have held silk ribbon. You have the option of adding ribbon if you choose. The long sleeves have ruffled broderie anglaise cuffs and embroidered bands, and there is a slight drop shoulder effect. It opens at the front to the waist and closes with shell buttons. There are wide pleats in the back to gather in the fullness. Fabric is white cotton. No labels, it's a homemade garment. 1890s-1910s.
