Glorious white satin wedding gown beaded and appliqued at the lower front of the dress and on the train with guipure lace and pearl beads. It's really beautiful work.
I have had to pin the train to the dress on the hanger to give an idea of how it goes on, which is not ideal, but really it would be held up by the hips and the fastening.
The gown is plainly cut so that it can carry the front embellishment and the train. It has a high front neckline and lower scooped neck at the back. The skirt is straight and pleated into the waist over the hips. Elbow length sleeves. Closes in the side with a metal zip. Fabric is a heavy rayon satin.
The large train is lined with the same fabric. It is pleated into the waist with wide pleats and attaches with a concealed belt and hooks and eyes.
Custom made gown, so no labels. Late 1960s to early 1970s.
