Stylish blue crepe secretary style dress, a fine example of '80s power dressing.
Inspired by a man's suit jacket, the lower-calf length dress has a blouson bodice and a little notched collar extending into a tie neck. The long, full sleeves are gathered into the shoulder and cuffs and close with gold (plastic) buttons. Following the blazer motif of the collar and tie, six gold buttons adorn the front of the flared skirt and are reminiscent of a double-breasted jacket. The dress also has shoulder pads. There is no closure, the dress just pulls on. The bodice is lined. Fabric is polyester crepe. The brand is Ken Shaw - early 1980s.
