Very beautiful deep blue, beaded Alencon lace cocktail dress consists of skirt, top and optional cummerbund. The contrast lining and cummerbund are bottle green taffeta. The top has a shaped front neckline and V back. It is beaded at the front and back with sequins, cabochons and pendant beads and closes at the back with a metal zipper. The straight, knee length skirt closes with a metal zipper at the back. The cummerbund is pleated and boned and ties in place. Custom made dress, no tags, from the 1960s.

Condition
Mint. The zipper in the back of the top is longer than the garment by 9 cm (3.5"), see last photo. The dressmaker has made it like this so that the owner could get it on, and it needs to be pinned underneath when worn.
