Ballerina length dress has a full circle skirt of many layers for swishing beautifully when you dance. Just the kind of dress our American friends would have worn to the school prom.
The skirt comprises a bottom layer of mauve rayon covered with a layer of soft tulle and two layers of stiff baby blue tulle. The bodice is also covered in blue tulle with rosettes of blue sequins and beads and a pleated crossover band of pink satin. The shaped waistline is finished with wide satin piping. The wide shoulder straps are also pink satin. Boning at the back. Closes at the back with a metal zipper. Custom made dress - 1950s.

Condition
Good. There is a very faint mark on the satin of the bodice, a few holes in the under layer of tulle and a couple of mends in the top most layer of tulle near the waist, largest is shown. The zip has been replaced.
