Antique cotton nightgown reimagined as a cool summer Boho style dress.
The dress is very loose-fitting and has a high, square neckline trimmed with cotton bobbin lace. The above elbow sleeves are also edged with same lace. The raised bodice comes to below the bust and is cut in one piece with the sleeves, and the long, ankle length skirt gathered to the bodice. The waist seam is covered with embroidered trim like broderie anglaise. A different cotton lace is inserted either side of the upper opening. Opens at the front to hip level and closes with linen buttons. Fabric is cotton. No labels, it's probably a homemade or custom made garment - 1910s.
