Popular in the 1920s, this is a boudoir cap for hiding your bed hair!
This cap has been refurbished. When I acquired it the pink silk bands were all disintegrating and had to be removed. I have used two pieces of vintage rayon satin to replace them. These have been attached to the original ecru cotton lace so that the cap is now intact. Elastic around the edge has also been replaced. The fine lace at the edge has a scalloped edging, and the little original silk ribbon rosette has been reattached at the front. The remains of a label has also been reattached but I can't make out what it says. 1920s.
