Teal green satin ballroom dancing dress with silver and pearl front trim. 1950s style, but probably made in the 1970s or 1980s.
Note - the dress is photographed over a full petticoat in the first picture, which is not included.
The bodice is fitted and has wide straps trimmed with silver, a very full skirt pleated to the waist and a wide strip of metallic silver trim sewn with pearls extending right down the front and across the top of the bodice. There is a fixed satin strap at the waist, the bodice is lined and it closes with a zipper at the back. Below knee to mid-calf length. Heavy rayon satin fabric. No tags, this is a homemade item. There is a lot of finishing done by hand - the zip, the trim. All the seams and the hem are overlocked by hand.
Fits bust 76 cm (30")
Waist 63.5 cm (25")
Length 112 cm (44")
Condition Very good. There is a minor scuff mark on the front of the skirt.
