Teal green satin ballroom dancing dress with silver and pearl front trim. 1950s style, but probably made in the 1970s or 1980s.
Note - the dress is photographed over a full petticoat in the first picture, which is not included.
The bodice is fitted and has wide straps trimmed with silver, a very full skirt pleated to the waist and a wide strip of metallic silver trim sewn with pearls extending right down the front and across the top of the bodice. There is a fixed satin strap at the waist, the bodice is lined and it closes with a zipper at the back.
Below knee to mid-calf length. Heavy rayon satin fabric. No tags, this is a homemade item. There is a lot of finishing done by hand - the zip, the trim. All the seams and the hem are overlocked by hand.
