Beautiful custom made half slip made by Trousseau Creations of Brisbane. Straight slip has a glorious deep border of lace which has been appliqued in detail around the hem. The front vent features a pleated tulle panel. The slip has a waistband and closes on one hip with snaps and hooks. It's below-knee length. Made of nylon by Trousseau Creations, Brisbane. Late 1950s-1960s.
Myra Dempsey and Pearl Laird of Trousseau Creations of Brisbane were advertising "Exclusive lingerie - made to measure, and Glory Box requisites" in 1958 (Canberra Times). In 1963 they advertised "Fabulous Glory Box parcels...original styles created by experienced designers" (Canberra Times) and were still advertising in a similar manner in 1972.
