From a recently acquired collection from the estate of legendary Australian actor Bud Tingwell. Bud was a veteran of more than 60 movies and 20 TV shows in Australia and the UK. Read more about Bud and this collection on my blog.
Tailor made double-breasted evening jacket and matching pants with the original braces. Jacket has silk faille notched lapels with buttonhole, two jetted and one breast pocket, two interior pockets and four button front stance. Four button sleeve trim actually unbuttons. Fully lined.
Pants have double front pleats and zippered fly. Side braid stripe, two side seam pockets, buttoned rear pocket and a front coin pocket. The pants have neat little metal loops for attaching the braces. The braces were once white or cream but are now discoloured and have silver tone hardware stamped with the tailor's brand.
A tag inside a breast pocket states that it was made by Hector Powe, Regent St, London, for C. Tingwell, Esq., in 1958.

Good. Jacket is in good condition, with a couple of tiny darns at one cuff and another in the top of one sleeve. Pants have a darn near the back seam, where a seam has been let out, and to the edge of the rear pocket. A small darn and two pin prick sized holes in one leg. The braces are in poor condition, have lost a deal of stretch, are badly discoloured and have some rust to the hardware. All darns are shown in the photos.
