Long, bright red caftan style negligee is totally sheer. The gown is really just a large rectangle and armholes are a long gap in the side seams. Panels of wide black lace are inserted at the shoulders. Neckline and edges are trimmed with the black lace threaded through with red ribbon and a red bow at the front neck. Deeper V neckline at the back has narrow lace with ribbon. It can be worn back to front if you prefer, however the hemline is 14 cm (5.5") longer at the back. Fabric is sheer nylon. The tags have been removed. Part of a large collection of American lingerie, so probably from the US. Likely 1980s.

One size fits many. Mannequin has bust 87 cm (34"). Fits up to plus sizes.

Condition
Good. There are a number of catches in the fabric, difficult to show in a photograph.
