Sheer aqua peignoir or robe with lashings of ecru lace for that old Hollywood glamour look.
The peignoir is very long, it will trail on the floor for all but the tallest. It has a wide scooped neckline front and back trimmed with a deep ruffle of ecru (beige) lace. Full, below elbow length sleeves have a deep lace border. The hemline has a lace border from knee height. The robe fastens at the front neck with two snaps and a long looped satin ribbon tie. Fabric is a double layer of sheer nylon. Made in the USA. Brand is Movie Star. 1960s.

Condition
Good. The sleeves were once gathered with elastic above the elbow but this has stretched and they fall loosely. There is a mend in the lining at the front as shown but not noticeable from the outside as it's lost in the fullness of the robe. A few minor catches.
