Ivory taffeta petticoat skirt trimmed with embroidered tulle lace originally made to wear beneath a wedding gown. The beautiful lace on the hem of the petticoat most likely featured on the matching dress.
The skirt is very full and drapes and swishes nicely. It's slippery. Being a petticoat originally, it has simple ties at waist to fasten it, backed up with a hook and eye. It's very heavy because there's so much fabric in it, so tie it firmly. There are a number of faults, but being so full much of the damage is hidden. Fabric is rayon taffeta. It's a custom made garment, so no labels - 1950s.
Fairly good. It has a number of faults but presents well. Some large purplish marks and a much smaller greasy mark. Several small holes and an old darn. Most of the damage is lost in the fullness of the skirt.
