Beige jacket style top has a shawl collar and below-elbow length sleeves. It's fitted at the bust and waist. It's a short length as it would have originally been worn with a matching high waisted skirt. Closes at the front with three large honey coloured buttons, and it has bound buttonholes. There are short slits at the front and back waist. It's unlined. The fabric is a textured rayon faille. No labels, it's a homemade or custom made garment - 1950s. Small.

Closes at the front with lots of little buttons and loops, but you only have to open a few to get it on. Fabric is 60% linen and 40% cotton, so lovely and cool to wear. Beautiful red figured silk pants custom made in Hoi An, Vietnam. In the style of fishermen's pants, they tie at the waist, are passed between the legs and tie at the waist again. Wide legged, the sides are over lapped and not fastened.

Pretty cream crepe blouse has cap sleeves and a dainty cotton lace bib front and collar. Tiny pearl bead buttons trim the front. The blouse is open beneath the bib as it was designed to be worn with very high-waisted skirts and this part would have been tucked in. The lower part has tucks to reduce fullness at the waist. The sleeves have turned back bands and there are small shoulder pads. The fabric is rayon crepe. No brand label. 1940s-1950s. Medium

Grey and black striped longline jacket by Australian designer Teena Varigos. This V-necked jacket is truly double-breasted and can be worn buttoned either left over right or right over left. It's below hip length. It has two functional front pockets and a breast pocket. Shoulders are emphasised in true '80s style. The sleeves taper to the wrist. Two button sleeve trim and six button front stance. Fabric has the look of silk but is actually polyester - no fabric labels. Teena Varigos - 1980s.
